Miss Fort Worth USA Pageant | July 30, 2011
As a pageant girl, it seems natural that one would love to attend pageants! This is definitely true for my Mom and I. Going to pageants isn’t just fun, it’s a chance to learn, grow, and we all know I can’t resist looking at beautiful gowns! I love seeing other girls onstage, shining with all their beauty and confidence, and I think I get more nervous for the girls competing than I do, especially when the winner is about to be called out! Yesterday evening, my Mom, Jonathan, and I ventured to the Bob Duncan Center in Arlington, Texas for the Miss Fort Worth USA & Miss Fort Worth Teen USA Pageant. It was also another opportunity for me to reunite with some of my best pageant friends, Sydney Datcher and Rachel Prochnow. Also, my amazing director, Valerie Prochnow also made the 4 hour drive up to Dallas to watch the pageant as well! I always love meeting new people and this pageant was a great opportunity to do so. In addition, I wanted to get the word out there about the Miss Texas High School & Collegiate Pageant system.
The girls onstage looked absolutely stunning! It was definitely stiff competition. I’m so proud that DFW Area girls are such great representatives. It was definitely choosing a representative out of winners instead of a winner out of a group of representatives. I would like to send Brooklyn Young and Christina Enstminger my heartfelt congratulations and I want to wish them the best of luck as they vie for the state titles this Labor Day and Thanksgiving weekend.
The pageant was fantastic and I always love having the chance for some extra bonding time with my Mom and Jonathan! I had loads of fun posting for photos on the red carpet promoting the Miss Texas Collegiate America system.
