Houston VAC Fundraising Entertainment Event | October 31, 2010

Instead of dressing up as the female version of Superman or a Helen of Troy, on Halloween night, I rocked out in my America’s U.S. Miss gear in Houston, Texas to help raise money for the Vietnamese American Community of Houston. They held a Fundraising Entertainment Event with different singers who were either local or from around the country. 

The event took place at Ocean Palace, which is mammoth! I had a lot of fun seeing old friends and meeting new dignitaries. In attendance of the event was Hubert Vo, Texas Representative for District 149, Anh Trinh, the owner of Radio Hoa Mai, along with many others. 

I was privileged to be able to sing a song to help raise much needed money for VAC Houston. At the end of the night, TONS of money was raised and the fundraiser was a huge success. I wish I could have had time to rest and enjoy a bit of Houston, but my family drove back in the middle of the night because I had a Math exam the next morning! A bit of a bummer, but that’s the life of a college student. :)
