Catching Up & Upcoming Events | September 9, 2010

Hi Everyone!

I know it’s been a while since I updated, but I’ve been busy with many different activities. Also, I am a full-time college student so I’ve got my homework to do just like everyone else my age.

As most of you know, I work as a figure skating instructor at Allen Community Ice Rink and on August 31st we were graced with 2010 Olympic Gold Medalist, Evan Lysacek’s presence. It was great getting to skate alongside Evan and see that he is genuine and sweet just as he appears on TV.

Then on Labor Day weekend, I drove down to Houston to watch the Miss Texas USA Pageant and I must say, the competition was FIERCE. I’m so proud of my friend, Felicia Bolton who was Miss Heart of Texas for placing in the Top 15. She looked amazing and I wish her the best of luck on her journey.

Now, for the new stuff! This weekend, I will be singing at a newly built Buddhist Temple in Royse City in honor of Vietnamese Parents Day (Ngày Vu Lan). I also have a publication coming out soon…so check back to hear more information.

Next week is super busy! On Friday, I will be one of the hosts of the 2010 Tết Trung Thu, also known as the Mid Autumn Festival. This even takes place at Saigon Mall on September 17, so be sure to check it out if you are in the area. I will be singing, taking pictures, and signing autographs among other duties.

Then, the following day, I will be gracing the FOX 4 Community Stage at the Plano Balloon Festival as the official Emcee. Come check out amazing local talent as well as see the vivacious hot air balloons launch along with rides, games, and amazing vendors!
